BamaJam concert tickets

The Troy University Trojan Air Club is now selling one-day BamaJam concert tickets for $69.50. BamaJam will be held June 4-6 in Enterprise, and one-day tickets are being sold for any of the three days. Military discount price is $129.50 for a three-day pass with a valid military ID. There is a special 10 percent discount for purchase of four three-day pass tickets. Tickets can be purchased with cash, checks and credit cards. Artists include, but are not limited to Kid Rock, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift, Gary Allen, Los Lonely Boys, Blake Shelton, the Black Crowes and others. The availability of one-day tickets is limited. To set up a time to purchase tickets, contact trojanairclub@troy.edu.

African American Alliance meeting

The Troy University chapter of the African American Alliance will meet April 2 at 4:30 p.m. in the Trojan Center upstairs lobby. Community service projects and events will be discussed. Those interested in becoming a member of AAA are invited to attend.

Campus Awakening

Campus Awakening will meet for worship and the Word April 2 at 7 p.m. in HAL Hall. Thursday meetings will be in HAL Hall for the rest of the semester. For more information, contact Bryan Segraves at bsegraves@troy.edu.

African Alliance Club meeting

The African Alliance Club will meet April 2 at 8 p.m. in Trojan Center Room 119. The agenda for the meeting includes deciding the name of the organization, discussion and voting of the proposed constitution and officer elections. All African students and any other students interested in African culture are welcome.

LIMELIGHT: The Search for TROY's Next Musical Sensation

The Troy University John M. Long School of Music and Music Industry program will play host to 'LIMELIGHT: The Search for TROY's Next Musical Sensation' April 6 at 7 p.m. in Claudia Crosby Theater. Ten finalists will take the stage, with acts ranging from vocalists and songwriters to full bands. The night will feature music industry professionals Mark Hood and Johnny Barron as guest judges. Audience participation plays a role in determining the winner. Admission is $2 with student ID and $12 for non-students. Political Science Club meeting

The Political Science Club will meet April 8 at 3 p.m. in Room 337 of the Math and Science Complex. Activities and other business for the remainder of the semester will be discussed. Those interested are invited to attend. For more information, contact Ellie Parker at polisci@troy.edu.

Children's Miracle Network balloon sale

The sisters of Phi Mu will be selling CMN Balloons beginning April 13 through the week of their annual Grand Slam Softball Tournament. Balloons are $1 each. There will be a drawing for $100, and the remainder of the proceeds will benefit Children's Hospital. See any Phi Mu to purchase a balloon. International soccer tournament

There will be an international soccer tournament April 17-19 at the soccer field. Rosters should be turned in by April 14 to Pace Hall Room 110. Roster registration fee is $25. There will be a captains' meeting April 16 in Pace Hall Room 118 at 5 p.m.

Phi Mu Grand Slam Softball Tournament

The sisters of Phi Mu will play host to their Grand Slam Softball Tournament on April 18 beginning at 10 a.m. at the lower intramural fields. Proceeds from this annual spring philanthropy will benefit the Children's Miracle Network.

Entry fee per team of $30 and a completed information slip are due April 15. Playing times will be announced by April 17. Teams are asked to arrive 30 minutes before the playing time. The Homerun Derby will be held after the last game. No extra charge is required to participate in this event. There will be prizes for the winning team in each division. New Beginnings Bible study

The Baptist Campus Ministries will hold its New Beginnings Bible study Mondays at 7:30 p.m. at the BCM building (located directly behind Smith Hall). All are welcome to attend. For more information, contact James Earl Cray at jcray@troy.edu.
